Quilting Mastery with Sue Nickels - "The Flower Basket Quilt"

After many requests, Sue has patterned this very popular machine applique project. We are so thrilled to be able to offer this once in a lifetime opportunity for you to learn from a master in the quilting world. Participants will learn the construction of this quilt, from beginning to end, in a “workshop of the month” concept. Sue will show all of the elements that go into this quilt - machine applique, border construction, scalloped edge finish and machine quilting concepts. During the forty hours of detailed and informative instruction, create your own lovely heirloom quilt. Sue teaches in a relaxed environment for students to learn machine techniques that are timesaving. She emphasizes the best quality workmanship, never compromising quality for speed!

Cunningham has written 11 books and numerous magazine articles. Joe Cunningham began making quilts professionally in 1979, a er a ten-year career as a musician in Michigan. His early mentors were steeped in the history and traditions of quilts, leading him to a life of study in quilt history and a love of traditional technique.

Over the years his quilts have evolved into a unique, personal style. His quilts are in the permanent collections of museums, as well as in numerous private collections. Cunningham has written 11 books and numerous magazine articles. He has also appeared on the PBS series “Cra in America,” the HGTV series “Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson”, the PBS series “Sewing with Nancy” and on“The Quilt Show” with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.”
