Postcard Views Workshop:
Create a trio of wall hanging-sized quilts inspired by some of my favorite beautiful scenery across the country. These quilts are made using raw-edge fusible applique techniques, built on a muslin base. Come to this workshop with the pieces for at least one quilt already traced, fused to fabric and cut out, and we’ll work on assembling them during class time. We’ll also talk machine quilting options, and I’ll share the tips and best practices for creating landscape quilts that I’ve learned along the way.
Lisa was bitten by the craft bug early on in life, and have dabble in drawing, beading, photography and fabric. She learned to sew as a young girl, making clothes for her Cabbage Patch Kid, and then got into quilting around 2000 and never looked back. Modern quilting is her style of choice, and she particularly loves improv piecing. She currently freelance in the quilting industry; She designs, writes and tech edit patterns for a variety of clients. She also designs fabric for Benartex and designs and sells her own quilt patterns. Outside of work, she spends time hanging with her husband and three boys, ideally outside or playing sports, and yes, the her boys quilt too!
